Canelo Alvarez was able to secure his victory in the recent undisputed clash against Jermell Charlo on September 30. The undisputed light middleweight champion fought the undisputed super middleweight champion at T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Furthermore, the matchup was considered close since both fighters have been professional boxers for two decades. Subsequently, Charlo and Canelo Alvarez had a similar professional boxing record, and Jermell was undefeated prior to this fight.

However, Alvarez has suffered two losses in his career, and his most recent loss was against Dmitry Bivol in 2022. In addition, fans felt that Alvarez had begun to perform underwhelmingly even though he won his next two fights. Hence, Alvarez motivated himself to prove his haters and critics wrong, and he achieved that by defeating Jermell. Alvarez was able to dominate Jermell across 12 rounds and secure his victory via a unanimous decision. Jermell’s brother, Jermall Charlo, has expressed his desire to fight Alvarez by stating, “He won’t get past my jab. He can’t F*CK with me!” (H/T- Twitter)

Jermall has not entered the ring in the last two years after defending his title against Juan Macias Montiel in 2021. Earlier this year, Jermall had signed a contract with Alvarez but gave the opportunity first to his brother. Furthermore, Charlo has revealed that he will be coming back to the ring on November 25 at the David Benavidez and Demetrius Andrade undercard.

Subsequently, Jermall has revealed that Ronnie Shields and legendary boxer Roy Jones Jr. are part of his training camp. Hence, Charlo might resume talks with Alvarez after his fight on November 25 to avenge his brother’s loss.
