What would one do if aspiring to build on a solid pro-boxing career run? According to Jake Paul – Eat, pray, work out, rinse, repeat. The influencer-turned-boxer went up against 10-1-1 seasoned boxer Andre August and won via a devastating uppercut KO. Now, Paul is gearing up for another pro-boxing outing against Ryan Bourland next month. Consequently, what would you do if you had a long-standing rivalry with such a boxer’s brother? According to Dillon Danis, troll him.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer announced in January that he will face former Golden Gloves champion Ryan Bourland. It will be an 8-round cruiserweight bout, streaming on DAZN. Bourland boasts 17 wins with 6 KOs. Danis, who has scuffled with Paul before, took this opportune moment to jibe at him, on apparently choosing a certified Uber driver as his next challenge. Taking to X, with a supposed doctored LinkedIn snapshot, he wrote –

Danis, of Ex-Bellator fame, went up against Logan Paul last year in a grudge match at the Misfits Boxing: Series X card for DAZN. Paul and his fiancee, Nina Agdal, had faced endless barbs from him after Danis went on to overtly taunt them with numerous NSFW images of Agdal. Despite a defamation lawsuit against him, Danis continues to rile up Logan Paul evermore, thus being slammed by fans.

Now, he shifts focus to brother Jake. Despite a surge in popularity, the ‘Problem Child’ faces much backlash. From his feats amidst training camp getting gibed to catching flak for choosing washed-up MMA veterans for crossover stints. But this time, fans have somewhat rallied to his cause. A prime reaction quipped – “He has a 4.9 rating, he’s a great boxer.

Jake Paul always tends to make big surprising moves. From riling up the combat sports bubble by teaming up with USA Boxing for the Paris Olympics 2024 to Paul’s MVP Promotions defying tradition and choosing a seasoned boxer for his 9th professional outing. He does it yet again, by choosing an unconventional opponent.

After previously announcing he would fight in the co-mains under Amanda Serrano vs. Nina Meinke in Puerto Rico, Paul goes on to face Ryan Bourland next. Consequently, Dillon Danis has taken up trolling him for it.

In light of that, how would one weigh against the ‘Problem Child‘, versus the more problematic ‘keyboard warrior‘? Go against the keyboard warrior, of course. Case in point, here’s how the MMA community has reacted to Danis’ latest taunt:

Fighting at the AO Arena in Manchester, Danis had failed to prove any noteworthy combat prowess at all. Attempting an illegal leg drag-down, he got disqualified. Since then, most of his social media outings have faced much fan backlash. Time and again, fight fans have trolled him as a Twitter keyboard warrior, for trying to poke at Paul. Concurrently, they do it yet again, in the case of job-shaming Jake and his opponent.

Fans also invoked the case of the UFC flyweight champion, Alexandre Pantoja, who used to have a gig as an Uber Eats driver, before bagging his gold. All in all, Danis manages to rile up fans yet again with his online presence and shenanigans.
