Teofimo Lopez recently posted a video on X in which he says he looked up to Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather once said that he believed he was TBE: The Best Ever. Mayweather said: 

Every fighter in the room has to feel that he is best. If not, you in the wrong sport.

Lopez took this as an inspiration. During a rigorous training workout, Teofimo Lopez said:

You know, I take a lot of stuff from Floyd... a lot of his workouts, a lot of his training acts cause' I fight like him... just kidding I fight better.

Floyd Mayweather is considered the greatest defensive fighter of all time. Therefore, it would come as no surprise if young and upcoming fighters looked up to him. Hence, in the same sense, Teofimo Lopez also said he took Floyd Mayweather’s words as motivation. However, in the end, he jokingly claimed that he was better than the former boxer.

Terence Crawford took to X to lash out at Lopez, saying that George Kambosos Jr. beat him. The two went on a long back-and-forth on the social media platform. This made the boxing world go wild, speculating a rivalry between the 2. Fans hoped that they would see a match between the boxers, a guaranteed jaw-dropper.

However, there has been no conversation about the fight talks being in progress. Fans can now only hope that they see two legendary fighters go at it for not only the hunger to win but also the anger to beat the other fighter for bragging rights.
