‘The Problem Child’ Jake Paul is well known for his wild antics, polarizing personality, and newfound professional boxing career. It is no doubt that Paul has made a space for himself in the influencer boxing scene and is praised for his skillset in boxing compared to an average social media personality turned boxer.

The problem child has maneuvered his way through several controversies and callouts from other fighters and influencers. The recent call-out is no exception. Brazilian mixed martial artist and former UFC fighter Markus Perez have called out ‘The Problem Child’ for not keeping up his promise to pay him the $300 that was asked.

I beat him up in the gym, sparring him for free because this bum never paid me,” Perez told MMA Fighting. “[$300] is nothing, but he’s a millionaire, making $27 million out there, and can’t pay $300 for a guy just because I kicked his butt in sparring?” [H/T MMA Fighting] Perez said that Paul refused to pay him despite remunerating his other UFC and MMA peers after they assisted Paul in the Ben Askren fight that took place in 2021.

Perez also claimed that he knocked out Paul during the sparring session causing the refusal of the payment toward the former UFC fighter. Perez also mentioned how Jake was not used to the ‘showboating’ he did in the ring. He said “He’s not used to this. I started showboating, keeping my hands low.” “I dropped him with a body punch and he got mad, so I punched him in the nose and drew blood. He got desperate.”[H/T MMA Fighting]
