Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou has come a long way in combat sports. Francis Ngannou left the UFC at the end of 2022 after a conflict of interest on a new contract. He wanted the new contract to include clauses to pursue boxing bouts. After signing with the PFL, Ngannou can fight anyone in the boxing ring, including Tyson Fury.

“The Predator” is known for his power and can seriously knock someone out in a boxing match. WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury went on social media to insult Ngannou. He dared the former UFC champion to sign the contract for an exhibition bout. Fury is an undefeated heavyweight boxer who has dominated the division for the last five years. Francis Ngannou went on Twitter to accept the fight deal and showed he was not afraid of the undefeated boxing champion.

Francis Ngannou wrote, “I have been here the whole time, Tyson Fury. Since none of these boxers want to fight, let’s make it official”. In April 2022, Tyson Fury defeated Dillian Whyte and invited Ngannou to the boxing ring. Both men agreed to fight each other in the future. Since then, the talks died down and only came up after Ngannou signed with the PFL.

Ngannou will make his boxing debut this year and his PFL debut next year. There is no clarity on who the opponent could be for Ngannou’s professional boxing debut. Despite agreeing to fight each other on Twitter, a contract has to be signed for the bout to become official.

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury went on social media to verbally attack Anthony Joshua, Oleksandr Usyk, and Joe Rogan. He also called out Francis Ngannou for a boxing match.

Fury said, “I’m your daddy… Sign the contract, you big stiff idiot.” The champion is not afraid of anyone and wants to see how Ngannou’s power in MMA translates to boxing. MMA gloves and boxing gloves are different. Hence, some analysts doubt how much impact Ngannou can cause with a boxing glove. A boxing glove is more padded than an MMA glove. The punching power varies upon usage.

The Gypsy King” is certain that this is the right moment to provide Ngannou with the greatest challenge of his life. Earlier, Tyson Fury boasted that he was the “Baddest Man on the Planet.” Ngannou can pursue boxing bouts under his PFL contract. Fury also thinks only he can perform at a high level to give Ngannou a great fight.
