“My opponents were frauds”- Jake Paul and and Most Valuable Promotions release statements following fight cancellation

Jake Paul

Jake Paul’s last fight was in December 2022 against Tyron Woodley where the Youtuber turned boxer knocked out Woodley in the 6th round. That win changed many minds as fans are now taking Paul more seriously than ever. However, there were still many criticisms regarding Paul not fighting a professional boxer.

To prove his haters wrong, Paul decided to fight Tommy Fury at the MSG on August 6th. Everything was fixed but then Fury failed to make it to the fight as he was not allowed to enter the US territories. After that, Hasim Rahman Jr stepped in and the fans were equally excited for the fight. Things kicked off well but later it was found out that Rahman failed to make the required weight for the fight.

It was shocking for Paul as the boxer even agreed to move up to 200 pounds for the fight but it didn’t work. In the end the fight was unfortunately called off by the promotion.

Today was supposed to be the date when Jake Paul would have faced Hasim Rahman Jr at the MSG in front of a huge crowd.

In order to share his thoughts, Paul made a tweet along with an official note which revealed that he didn’t expect this to happen. The fighter mocked his opponents and labelled them as cheaters. But Paul also promised that he will be back inside the squared circle with much more big fights. Paul also thanked the fighters in his undercard and also promised to pay half of the money for their efforts. He wrote:

“Today was supposed to be the day I fought a “real boxer” at MSG. It wasn’t meant to be. My opponents were both frauds.I will be back. Much bigger fights ahead. Again I want to thank all of the undercard fighters. We got you. @MostVpromotions.”

Paul has become a huge boxing superstar and many want to fight him for that fight purse as well as the attention. This will make it easy for him to get opponents, however, Paul will not settle for anybody less. It would be interesting to see who he fights next.
