Conor McGregor is one of the many celebrities who have expressed their apprehension for the upcoming fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul. The fight is quite monumental and groundbreaking since nothing of this magnitude has happened. The biggest heavyweight comeback story was when George Foreman became heavyweight champion at the age of 46 after retiring. While there are no titles associated with this fight, Tyson is set to break Foreman’s feat.

As such, the legendary heavyweight boxer is currently 57 years old and will be 58 around the time of the fight. Subsequently, the problem child will be 27 for the fight, which causes a massive age gap. This is what makes the fight more intriguing but at the same time concerning. Furthermore, McGregor reacted to the fight by stating that he wasn’t interested in it. However, Paul believes the fight will be bigger than the Floyd Mayweather fight, and he stated:

During an episode of his podcast ‘BS with Jake Paul’, The Problem Child was asked if his fight would be bigger than McGregor vs. Mayweather. Paul responded by boldly proclaiming that it would surely be viewed much more. However, he was quick to note that it cannot be compared to the $600 million in total revenue that the McGregor vs. Mayweather fight generated.

This is because the event was pay-per-view, while Paul’s fight will be streamed free on Netflix. Hence, Paul still believes that more people will tune in to watch the fight compared to the McGregor vs. Mayweather fight.

Dana White reveals being in touch with Tyson

UFC CEO, Dana White is also one of the many celebrities who maintained their apprehension for the fight. While McGregor stated that he was not interested in the fight, White pointed out the obvious age gap. Hence, while White is not a fan of the fight happening, he is still keeping track of Tyson’s progress.

White and Tyson are close acquaintances and often meet each other. As such, White reached out to Tyson’s wife and found out that Tyson was very serious about this fight. Furthermore, White stated that Tyson is a grown man and can decide what is best for him, and they will have to see how this plays out. 

In addition, the UFC CEO mentioned that Tyson is a very unique individual and said that any other boxer from his era has to fight to make money. However, Mike Tyson is different from them and has several profitable business ventures.
