Boxers make more money than any other combat sports athlete. According to the latest statistics, social media personality, Jake Paul has made it on the list next to Anthony Joshua and Canelo Alvarez. And surprisingly, more than heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury. This left the internet shocked as they reacted to the latest numbers.
Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua were way ahead of Tyson Fury on the list of the highest-paid boxers for 2023. Paul was ranked higher on the list than Fury who fought once against Francis Ngannou. The YouTuber-turned-boxer made $47 million in total earnings, including millions from sponsorships. He also reportedly made over $30 million for his fight against Fury’s brother Tommy.
According to Sportico, Anthony Joshua has earned $53 million in 2023. Joshua’s net worth is at around $80 million. Anthony Joshua earned at least $30 million in 2023, with a guaranteed payment of $10 million for his fights. Meanwhile, other fighters like Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia reportedly made $43 million and $41 million, respectively.
Jake Paul’s next fight is in March in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The fight will be the co-main event to Amanda Serrano‘s fight against Nina Meinke. Paul’s opponent is Ryan Bourland, who is a 35-year-old retired American boxer. His last fight was against professional boxer, Andre August, which Paul won pretty easily with a first-round knockout.
