Back in 2020, Tyson Fury surprised everybody with a song after beating Deontay Wilder for the WBC championship. It has been over four years since and Joe Rogan and Joey Diaz recently had a good laugh looking at Fury singing at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Here is what happened:
Joe Rogan recently hosted comedian Joey Diaz on the latest episode of the Joe Rogan podcast. In one of the segments, Rogan put on a clip of Fury singing after his 2020 victory over Wilder.
Most people leave when the fight's over. Especially when you win by knockout, they stayed. Because they wanted to hear him talk. You know how unusual that is where a whole crowd is willing to stay to listen to the guy talk. Watch what happens at a UFC main event...Most people are headed for the f*****g door.Joe Rogan via JRE
Deontay Wilder was the former WBC heavyweight champion before he fought Fury in February of 2020. The fight lasted seven rounds, in which Wilder got knocked down twice. Ultimately his corner threw the towel in and Tyson Fury won the fight by a 7th round KO. Fury then took the interviewer’s microphone during his post fight speech and began to sing the song ‘American Pie’. Even the entire crowd joined in with him in a unifying chorus.
The fight took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada. It was called Unfinished Business and was for the WBC and vacant The Ring heavyweight titles. Wilder and Fury had previously met in 2018, where the fight ended in a controversial draw.
What Joe Rogan and Tyson Fury said about Mike Tyson fighting Jake Paul
Joe Rogan and Tyson Fury had some interesting things to say about the upcoming fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. Tyson will fight Paul at the AT&T Stadium this July live on Netflix. ‘Iron Mike’ has not fought in a while. His last fight was an exhibition against Roy Jones Jr. back in November 2020. Meanwhile, Paul recently defeated Ryan Bourland and will take Tyson on with a 31 year age difference. He is currently training with American Olympic boxers at their training facility.

Rogan addressed Paul fighting Tyson saying that Jake Paul has potential as a boxer. He even sprinkled a few words of praise and approval over Jake Paul’s performance against Tommy Fury. However, this was just before Rogan found out that Paul was about to fight Mike Tyson. Rogan said that Tyson trains with Rafael Cordeiro and “can still f*** you up” at this age.
Meanwhile, Tyson Fury told The Stomping Ground that he thinks the fight is fantastic for boxing. He believed that this fight would capture the attention of the world and bring a lot of eye balls to boxing.
