Tyson Fury is set to face Francis Ngannou this Saturday in Riyadh. He also has a bout scheduled against Oleksandr Usyk on Dec. 23 for an undisputed heavyweight titular bout. His father, John Fury, had eyed a fight with Mike Tyson for a while now. Tyson, the legendary boxer, helped out Ngannou’s training camp. The legendary heavyweight will also corner Ngannou for the fight. Recently, John Fury went on a rant and called him out for a fight.

During a recent interview, when called upon to the forefront by his son, John Fury said he respected Tyson and named his son after him. However, he was a fighting man and had a warrior’s heart. He went on to challenge the boxer head-on. On being asked for preparation schedules, he said:

None! I can go tomorrow. Old men. We’re old men! We don’t need training camps, we don’t need nothing. Let’s fight, mate! If you want to fight me, let’s fight now! We’ll get on (Dec. 23), me and you, and we’ll have a straightener. Get on there!

Fury had mentioned that he had suffered knockouts before and did not mind getting knocked out again if it entertained people. A few days prior, he had also sent a video message directed at the boxer. However, he has taken the extra measure of baiting them out. Recently, he also criticized Ngannou for his boxing workout with Tyson.

Tyson Fury reacts and sympathizes with Alexander Volkanovski after defeat

Lineal boxing champion Tyson Fury and former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou will soon face each other in Riyadh. Their bout is set for ten rounds, with boxing stipulations. After making their grand arrivals this Tuesday and conducting open workouts on Wednesday, they proceeded to the pre-fight press conference. In a recent interview, Fury gave his take on what Alexander Volkanovski said after his defeat.

Vokanovski fought in a hyped matchup with lightweight champion Islam Makhachev at UFC 294. However, he lost the matchup with a mean head kick and simultaneous ground-and-pounds. At the UFC 294 press conference, the much-emotional Volkanovski expressed his mental space on the fight. He affirmed that he needed to win this fight and was expecting it, putting in the effort. Fury has shared the sentiment later on, saying he knew how Volk felt.

During the interview, the boxer advised Volk to continue training and return to the octagon. Like Volk, Fury also had mental health issues in the past. Fury overcame it by returning to fighting and training. Hence, he gave Volk that suggestion. Hopefully, Volk will bounce back in his next fight.
