Mike Tyson praises Muhammad Ali! The sport of boxing has never failed to provide its fans with thrill and entertainment. Over the years of its existence, the sport has seen many athletes who successfully captivated the attention of the audience. However, not all of them managed to do what Mike Tyson did. The boy from Brooklyn was not just popular, but he was extremely ferocious.
In his years inside the ring, Tyson created a persona that was feared by his opponents. The former heavyweight champion was also given the title of the baddest man on the planet. His performances in the ring lived up to the title as he viciously knocked out anyone who stood in front of him.
These results mixed with his image outside the ring made fans wonder how the Brooklyn native would fare against the legendary Muhammad Ali. While fans and pundits had their own views, Tyson and Ali once addressed the same.

Not many athletes have managed to have the effect Ali has had globally. Known as ‘The Greatest of All Time,’ Ali laid claim to numerous accolades in his boxing career. This is one of the reasons why many often wondered how a fight between him and Tyson would play out.
While Tyson fans and Ali fans stood divided over the same, the fighters showed respect to each other. During Ali’s appearance on a show with Mike Tyson and Sugar Ray Leonard, the 1960 Olympic gold medalist was asked who would win in a fight between him and Tyson. Pointing towards Tyson, Ali said, “I wasn’t so powerful. I was fast. If he hit me...” Ali further enacted being knocked out.
When the same question was redirected to Mike Tyson, he replied, “I know I’m great, but can I tell you something? In this situation, every head must bow, every tongue must confess, this is the greatest of all time.”

Even though it was evident that fans would never be treated to a fight between the duo, it was heartwarming to see the two legends hold each other in high regard. Both Ali and Tyson have majorly contributed to the sport of boxing, and fans and fighters will always remain grateful to them for the same.
