Sugar Ray Leonard is a boxing legend and his skillset might have been limited to his prime time but his fighting spirit will remain evergreen for the generations to come. Leonard is one of the greatest boxers of all time that spread his magnificent aura as a legendary boxing icon between 1977-1997. He managed to win world titles in five weight classes, lineal championships in 3 weight classes and undisputed welterweight championship.

Out of 40 fights, Leonard won 36 of them, 25 by the way of knockouts. Leonard is also the 1976 Olympic champion. After his boxing career Leonard led his life to give more reasons to the next generation be inspired about him. Leonard dedicated himself to a lot of charity work. He is the International Chairman for Juvenile’s Diabetes Research Foundation’s Walk for Cure and is therefore actively involved in raising both awareness and funds.

In the clip below reposted by boxing journalist Michael Benson, Leonard can be seen hitting what seems to be a Muay Thai pad and while he may not be as fast he was before back in his time of fighting, Leonard managed to keep the power intact and add more tools to his offence by throwing elbows and kicks as well. At the age of 66, what it is if not commendable from Leonard’s side to keep pushing hard for fitness through his inbuilt urge to train like a champion.
