The ManningCast, hosted by brothers Peyton Manning and Eli Manning, who played quarterback together in the NFL, is back for another season. The brothers recently shared a funny audition video they did to try and get their third host. In the video, famous celebrities like Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, Mike Tyson, and several others appeared for a hilarious audition.
The two veteran quarterbacks, Peyton and Eli, have totally changed the way people watch football. Furthermore, the brothers will continue anchoring Monday Night Football live games throughout the 2022–2023 season. The show began in 2021 and was produced by Peyton’s production company, Omaha Productions.
In addition, they signed a three-season deal with ESPN, which created Peyton’s ESPN+ TV series called Peyton’s Places. In the previous two seasons, special guests have been invited to join Peyton and Eli on the Monday Night Football alternate broadcast.
The brothers recently shared a funny audition video they did to try and get their third host. During Tyson’s interview, he stated, “I’m just here because you guys have the most punchable faces in the history of punching faces”.
Subsequently, Mike Tyson began to furiously shadow box with all his intensity to intimidate the Manning brothers, who were clearly scared. Famous music producer DJ Khaled also appeared for the audition, and he repeated his most famous quotes without any context.
Furthermore, famous rapper Lil Wayne also appeared for the audition, and Peyton introduced himself. While introducing Eli Manning, he called him ‘lil brother’ as a pun. In addition, famous actress Reese Witherspoon also appeared in the audition via video conference call.
The ManningCast upcoming broadcasting schedule
The ManningCast audition video featured a sequence at the conclusion of the clip that outlined the games that the brothers will be covering in the upcoming season. They’ll be covering 10 games in total this season, just like they did last year and the year before that.
The first game will be Monday Night Football, with an alternative showing of the New York Jets against the Buffalo Bills. Furthermore, in Week 4, they will broadcast the Seahawks’ game against the Giants. It will be followed by the Packers’ game against the Raiders in Week 5. In Week 11, the highly anticipated rematch of the Super Bowl between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs will be featured.
The show is still a huge success and even won the 2022 Sports Emmy Award for Best Live Sports Series. The ManningCast will be back for another season next year after an agreement between ESPN and Omaha Productions.
