The fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson is one of the most highly anticipated fights in the boxing world. While the matchup is concerning, the idea of the fight is quite intriguing for fans. This is mainly because Paul was an ordinary YouTuber five years ago, while Tyson retired from boxing way back in 2005. However, the fight has a few hurdles to face since Tyson will have to take a few mandatory health tests.

The fight is set to happen at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, which comes under the jurisdiction of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR). Furthermore, it is believed that the fight is going to be a professionally sanctioned bout. As such, the TDLR has stated that Tyson will have to take two health tests. The tests that he will have to do are an electroencephalogram (EEG) and an electrocardiogram (EKG).

The EEG is a test that scans the individual’s brain to identify any neurological complications. Similarly, the EKG tests help identify any complications relating to an individual’s heart. Hence, once Tyson passes these two tests, the fight will be able to move forward smoothly. However, there is a possibility that the fight might get canceled if Tyson fails them.

Anyone who is over 36 years old has to take these two tests to compete in professional boxing. The tests make sure that no fighters compete with any underlying health issues. This is because it can further deteriorate during and after the fight

Tom Aspinall does not want to watch Tyson vs. Paul

Stars like McGregor have blatantly expressed their disinterest in the fight. However, many celebrities, like Colby Covington and Dana White, have expressed concerns over the age gap in the fight and Tyson’s overall well-being. Similarly, UFC star Tom Aspinall has also voiced his concerns about the upcoming fight.

During an interview with OLBG, Aspinall revealed that he is not very interested in witnessing the upcoming fight. Furthermore, he stated that it is a good thing that Tyson is training and mentioned that he seems to be in good shape. However, Tom Aspinall believes that after being hit in the head across his career, he should not return to the sport.

Hence, the UFC interim heavyweight champion believes that a head injury at Mike Tyson‘s age might be detrimental. He also mentioned that all of this is meant for entertainment, but he would rather not watch the fight.
