Ryan Garcia had a special person sitting in the arena during his fight against Javier Fortuna. Garcia was sure to send a message to Devin Haney, the undisputed lightweight champion, implying he wants him next inside the boxing ring.
Ryan Garcia took on Javier Fortuna at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Fortuna, who has a record of 37-4-1 was struggling against the 23-year-old Garcia. The rising superstar had success throughout the fight and finally managed to knock his opponent out in the sixth round. Ryan got a completely deserved victory after dominating the fight right from the first second.
In the crowd was Ryan’s rival, Devin Haney, who recently was crowned as the undisputed lightweight champion after his win against George Kambosos Jr. Devin and Ryan have been going back and forth since that win and we might have a super fight in the making. Ryan was quick to spot Devin in the crowd and sent him a message after his win.

After his spectacular knockout win against Fortuna, Ryan immediately went to look for his rival in the stands and signed to him that he will finish him when he gets his shot at the fighter. Even in the post-fight presser, Ryan was very confident that he could become the undisputed lightweight champion.
Devin is currently on cloud nine after beating Kombosos in enemy territory. The fighter put on an absolute masterclass and killed the Australian with a boxing clinic. Ryan was very critical of Devin’s performance and called the fight “boring”. Garcia vows to bring the action against Haney in a potential super fight for the undisputed title.
In the post-fight presser, Ryan said, “Of course, I have a history with Devin Haney, I know what can get him. He’s a great fighter too. All these guys are great fighters but I have something that will help me get past them. I’m different in a way.”
