“He’s been humbled” – Tyson Fury claims to have “knocked a bit of sense” in Deontay Wilder by beating him in fights

Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder

In October, Deontay Wilder made his first appearance in the ring since being defeated in his trilogy fight with Tyson Fury a year prior, and he stunned Robert Helenius by knocking him out in the first round. In the post-match press conference, Wilder couldn’t hold his tears and had some words of sympathy for his opponent.

Wilder said, “Yeah it’s a great knockout, it’s devastating, but how much is that man gonna suffer?”. Wilder even mentioned Prichard Colon, who suffered brain damage inside the ring. Fans have been shocked by seeing Wilder’s sensitive side as ‘The Bronze Bomber’ was once infamous for begin of the most cold-blooded fighter on the planet.

Recently Tyson Fury has commented on this incident and believes he is the reason behind Wilder getting humble. Speaking on the True Geordie youtube channel Tyson said, “Maybe I knocked a bit of sense into him. Maybe he’s been humbled from the three beatings that I gave the sucker.”

Tyson Fury has received considerable criticism after the breakdown of talks to face Anthony Joshua. Recently the heavyweight champion was criticized by True Geordie (Brian Davis) on YouTube for the trilogy fight, which led to an irate reaction.

At the end of the interview, Fury lost his control and talked back, “No matter what you say, or what people like you wanna say about Derek Chisora, he’s achieved more in boxing and in fighting than ten men like you could ever achieve…I’m not gonna just let you sit here and slate somebody who’s fought the best fighters of this era just because he’s lost a few fights…He’s done a lot in the sport and he deserves this payday…I’ll be fighting Chisora and if you don’t wanna watch it, then please don’t, and if you do, tune in…I think you’re a t****r. You little t***pot…And I won’t be doing any more interviews with you little t***pot, bearded, bald t****r. Kiss my balls, you little w***. You little s***house.”
