Wayne Rooney is one of the biggest footballers to ever come out of England. The former Manchester United striker has showered praise on Tyson Fury. Rooney watched the ‘Gypsy King’ fight live against Derek Chisora at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium in London.

After Tyson Fury’s victory against Chisora, TalkSport spoke to Rooney to ask for his remarks on the fight. The footballer believed that the Gypsy King should receive the highest of honors for an athlete. This is what the English legend said: 

I think he's an absolute legend, what he's done for boxing, If I'm being honest I probably think he should be knighted. He hasn't been afraid to go abroad. He's won titles abroad, and defended them abroad. He sums up and optimizes everything boxing is.
