Legendary UFC fighter Anderson Silva may be the most feared champion ever. Unfortunately, the latter part of his career did not fare well for him and the fight fans. After his exit from the UFC, he transitioned into boxing, winning two fights but losing to Jake Paul in a decision loss. Gabriel Silva has been training under his father and Manny Robles for some time. His debut fight will have four rounds of a Middleweight bout. The younger Silva said about the event, “I am very excited to be making my professional debut on April 14 at the Commerce Casino. My trainer Manny Robles and I have been working very hard to put on a great show. Big thanks to my Dad for his support and to Tom Loeffler and 360 Promotions for this opportunity.”

The guidance of Anderson Silva and Manny Robles will prove effective for the young fighter. Gabriel Silva will look to start his professional career with a victory. He will look to emulate his father’s success in combat sports. Only time will tell if the son lives up to the father’s legacy.

Anderson Silva recently became the latest inductee into the UFC Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will happen during International Fight week in July. It is unknown if Silva has called it quits on his combat sports career, but fight fans will soon find out about it in his Hall of Fame speech.

Legendary Silva, the latest inductee to the UFC Hall of Fame, had the most dominant title reign in UFC history. Only one man was able to bring Silva into trouble. He is none other than Chael Sonnen. Sonnen used his superior wrestling ability to control and batter silva for four and a half rounds, but even that was not enough to beat the legendary fighter.

In the final round, on the verge of losing a decision, Silva locked in a triangle choke that made Sonnen tap out, and Silva became victorious. Never before at that time in the UFC did a champion lose every single minute in a title fight before winning the fight via finish in the final round.

UFC 117 marked the first time Anderson Silva faced adversity in the UFC. Chael and Silva would rematch in 2012, but this time, Silva was able to finish Sonnen in the second round, ending their rivalry.
