The winner is set to become the first undisputed lightweight champion since 1990 when boxing legend Pernell Whittaker was the last undisputed champion in this division. Kambosos Jr was originally supposed to defend his belts against Ukrainian boxing prodigy Vasiliy Lomachenko, but due to Lomachenko fulfilling his duty towards his birth nation of Ukraine and flying off there to defend his country against Russia, Haney came around to fight Kambosos Jr.

Promotional agency Top Rank Boxing, founded by veteran boxing promoter Bob Arum, uploaded a video on their official Twitter account of Kambosos Jr and Haney facing off and getting heated whilst talking trash to each other. The fight is a battle between 2 undefeated champions. At the age of just 23, Haney is 27-0 with 15 wins by knockout and Kambosos is 20-0 with 10 wins by knockout.

What do you make of this face-off and who do you think wins this fight? The fight is taking place in Kambosos’ home country of Australia, do you think that plays an edge in favour of Kambosos for the positive moral boost or does that put him more under pressure to perform well? This is going to be an intense chess fight between 2 very phenomenal and therefore, someone’s zero in the loss column has got to go!
