Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou fought each other in the battle of the baddest in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The match was Ngannou’s professional boxing debut, while his opponent was an undefeated heavyweight champion with a 34-0 record. Furthermore, Ngannou was able to recruit the legendary former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson as his coach for this bout.
The highly anticipated bout between the WBC heavyweight champion and the former UFC heavyweight champion attracted several celebrities to the event. Among the stars was Kanye. As such, West met Mike Tyson during the event. Both appeared happy to see each other. However, West suddenly adopted a straight face once he was clearly in front of the camera.
Both Tyson and West are some of the most well-known and prominent figures in the world. Furthermore, both had immense respect for each other, even though West is from the music industry and Tyson is a retired former heavyweight champion.
In addition to the bouts, the event was also a spectacle of star-studded encounters outside the ring. The world of sports blended seamlessly with the world of celebrity and created moments that captivated fans around the world.
Former champion Ricky Hatton talks about Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk
After beating Daniel Dubois at the end of August, Oleksandr Usyk has now signed his next bout. Although his victory was controversial, Usyk was quick to sign his next fight. In December, he is set to fight Fury in a heavyweight unification bout, which hasn’t happened since 1999.
Consequently, in an interview with MightyTips, former champion Ricky Hatton stated that Fury will have a tough fight in December. He said:
Usyk has a good chin but I don’t think he’s been hit by someone of the size of Tyson. The main problem Tyson is used to fighting 20 stone heavyweights. It’ll be difficult for Tyson but he’ll prepare properly in the gym, and I think he will have his game plan sorted and win the fight. But if it did go the other way I wouldn’t go ‘wow that is a shock’ but you would have to be a brave man to go against Tyson because of all the advantages he has.Ricky Hattonin an interview with MightyTips
The Fury-Wilder trilogy was one of the best things that happened in Fury’s career, just like his shocking upset of Wladimir Klitschko to win the heavyweight championship. However, his recent performance against Ngannou shows that he may lose against Usyk.
