Floyd Mayweather is the most accomplished boxer of all time. Floyd has won multiple world titles in 5 divisions and generated billions in the process. Very few come close to Money Mayweather when it comes to his boxing skillset. However, Floyd Mayweather once found himself in an unexpected situation during one of his interviews. Floyd was baffled when a European journalist questioned him with his thick accent before his match with Conor Mcgregor.
Floyd Mayweather vs Conor Mcgregor stands at an all-time 2nd rank in PPV buys. The event did around 4.3 million in PPV buys and generated over $600 million in total revenue. The lead-up to the fight gave fans some iconic moments. From Conor Mcgregor’s aggressive trash talk to hilarious interviews, the event had it all. However, during one interview Floyd Mayweather found it hard to comprehend the words coming out of a journalist’s mouth.
“They say old dogs don’t learn new tricks, but hunter dogs always catch the rabbit, are you gonna be catching the rabbit? You are the winner you are the champion!” said the journalist. The reporter framed the question in a great way but his accent made it hard on Floyd. Mayweather looked baffled from the start of the question and instead gave a funny reply. ” I don’t what you are saying but thank you. I know you said I’m the winner I’m the champion I like that. Whatever you say I like that .” said Floyd giving everyone a few chuckles.
While Mayweather was baffled by the reporter’s accent, he looked very dialled in during his fight with Conor Mcgregor. Mayweather managed to put on a dominant performance and won by a landslide on the judge’s scorecard.

Floyd Mayweather has insulted some big names during his time as a professional boxer. Mayweather does not care what fighter he calls out and whom he angers. However, Mayweather once had serious issues with veteran boxing analyst and commentator Larry Merchant. The outburst became so famous that it gave one of the most memorable lines from the boxing world.
Floyd Mayweather after his controversial bout with Victor Ortiz made many fans angry and was accused of taking cheap shots. This anger was also shared by Larry Merchant. He came up with some questions that angered the undefeated boxer. In his burst of anger, Mayweather insulted Merchant using some mean words. “You never give me a fair shake. HBO needs to fire you. You don’t know sh*t about boxing, you ain’t sh*t, you got sh*t.” said Mayweather.
Larry Merchant did not back down and replied with one of the most memorable lines in boxing history. “I wish I was 50 years younger and I’d kick your a**!” said Larry Merchant. The beef between the two has since been settled. Floyd Mayweather reached out and personally apologized to Larry Merchant.
