What is Mexican boxer Canelo Alvarez’s role in much-anticipated CREED 3 movie?

The biggest boxing superstar of the current generation, Canelo Alvarez is now expected to make his Hollywood debut. The Mexican has collaborated with actor, Michael B. Jordan who is directing his new movie CREED 3. Jordan shared pictures of him and Alvarez on the set of the movie back in September 2022 and in the caption, he wrote:
“Directing the legend himself in Creed 3.” Jordan also mentioned that the movie has been rescheduled and will be released on March 3, 2023. Jordan was extremely happy while shooting the movie scenes with Alvarez.
CREED 3 is the third installment of the original Creed movie which was released in 2015. The story of the protagonist played by Jordan was related to the 70s iconic movie Rocky starring Sylvester Stallone. In Creed, Adonis is the child of Rocky’s arch-enemy, Apollo Creed. The first Creed movie, Adonis met Rocky and together they trained to become successful professional boxers. In the second part which came out in 2018, Adonis fought Drago’s son in an ultimate showdown with the help of Rocky.
The franchise is highly popular and has millions of fans all around the world. In the third part of the Creed franchise, Adonis is set to take on his childhood friend but this time without the help of the legendary character, Rocky Balboa.

What character will Canelo Alvarez play in the CREED III movie?
Canelo Alvarez was first seen in the Creed 3 movie trailer which was released a month ago. In the trailer, Alvarez and Adonis stood together to click pictures at a red carpet event.
The news about Alvarez’s participation in the movie came out in September and the fans just went crazy. However, to many’s surprise the middleweight king will not play any character but himself in the movie.
The boxer doesn’t have dialogue in the movie. Apart from Alvarez, Andre Ward and Terence Crawford also have their cameos in the movie. Bagging the three-pound-for-pound best boxer in their franchise is certainly a milestone for Creed.
