Serena Williams is arguably one of the best tennis players to have played the sport. During her off-season in 2019, Williams decided to take a different route from her regular coaching. She was seen being coached by one of the most scariest boxers on the planet, Mike Tyson.
Both Mike Tyson and Serena Williams were one of the most elite competitors in their respective sports. Tyson became the youngest heavyweight boxing champion and accumulated 50 wins through his 58 fights. On the other hand, Serena Williams is a 4 time Olympic Gold winner and has a plethora of title wins from Wimbledon to US Open under her belt. The two dominant players met each other in Florida at Mouratoglou Preseason in 2022. The Mouratoglou Preseason was a training camp organized by Patrick Mouratoglou, who also happens to be the coach for Serena Williams.
Mike Tyson was seen demonstrating his techniques on the punching bag during this meeting. After a brief demonstration, he asked the 23-time Grand Slam champion to try it out as well. Serena put on her gloves and started demolishing the bag. Iron Mike was holding the bag while simultaneously giving training lessons to Williams. He also posted a photo of his meeting with Serena Williams on his Instagram handle. “I don’t want to get in the ring with this GOAT. Serena Williams, much love and respect,” read the caption.
Finally, Mike Tyson found someone who he is scared to fight. Along with Serena’s newfound boxing skills, Mike Tyson also happens to be a huge fan of her tennis plays. Tyson has stated that she is her all-time favorite and is seen in attendance for her US Open games.
Mike Tyson was buzzed while supporting Serena Williams at the US open

Serena Williams’s US Open against Danka Kovinic was met with attendance from boxing legend and former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. The 56-year-old seemed to have found inner peace after he was seen spaced out and talking to himself in a now-viral video. In the video, Iron Mike is said to be under the influence of mushrooms due to his love for psychedelics.
Mike Tyson can be seen wiping his face with a towel and mumbling words to himself during his brief appearance on the game’s broadcast. The boxing legend on numerous occasions has stated that he enjoys doing mushrooms and smoking w**d every day. He’s been seen enjoying doses of mushrooms on his podcast Hotboxin with Mike Tyson and a hit of w**d whenever he can. Iron Mike claims that the reason behind his love for psychedelics is that they helped him control his anger inside the ring.
“I like taking mushrooms and smoking before fighting. I take psychedelics every day, mushrooms,” said Tyson in his interview with Muscle and Health Magazine. Serena Williams went on to defeat Danka Kovinic and credited the ongoing cheers from her fans for her victory. While Mike Tyson might not have cheered very actively, he sure enjoyed attending the game.
