WWE deployed two of their superstars at NASCAR’s South Point 400 event on Sunday. Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio took to Instagram and posted visuals of his joint green flag waving with fellow wrestler Braun Strowman, who’s currently injured. These men signaled the race to begin, which is a part of the ongoing NASCAR Cup Series, at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Strowman seemed charged up and full of beans in a video clip posted by Mysterio. The Monster of All Monsters recently went to war against “Big” Bronson Reed on Raw. The two behemoths locked horns in a Last Monster Standing Match, which was the culmination of their tumultuous rivalry. Despite having torn his groin midway, Braun refused to quit. He kept pushing and went the distance with an evenly-matched Reed.
The ending of that car-crash of a main event saw Seth Rollins make his return as he made the Auszilla pay for his previous assault on The Visionary. As both Bronson and Strowman were down, Rollins came sprinting down that aisle and stomped Reed’s face into the steel steps. That was it for the Australian.
He couldn’t get back up before the referee counted 10, but Braun did and hence emerged victorious. After the show went off air, Seth and Braun showed mutual respect to each other with the live crowd going bonkers. One of the most notable moments from that match was the ring break.
The spot didn’t come off as big as it’s been over the years. There was reported dissatisfaction within WWE over that weak-looking ring implosion. Outside of that, Reed and Strowman received heavy internal praise for going all out with the efforts they put into their slugfest.
The Rock kicked off the 2024 NASCAR season
Earlier this year, Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, was at NASCAR’s season-opening Daytona 500 event. The wrestler-turned-actor served as the grand marshal for the race that was delayed by a day owing to inclement weather conditions.

DJ Khaled was also there to assume his role as the race’s honorary starter. Speaking of The Rock, he recently showed up at the Bad Blood PLE. The People’s Champ stared down everyone and left. Fans expected more out of him.
But it seems like they’ll have to hang on for a while. Rock’s next WWE appearance is ascertained to unravel his standing in The Bloodline‘s ongoing saga. However, there’s already a major hint that he’s aligned with Solo Sikoa and his men.
