Breach vs Skye in valorant: Who is better for a retake:
Breach:

Breach is a Swedish initiator in Valorant. He is usually played as a passive support although some players tend to play him aggressively due to his mildly fast-paced abilities. He is well known for his site clearing abilities. His AfterShock is very useful in clearing out tight spots or corners on various maps like the U Halls on Bind A site or the Garden Area on the B site of the same map. They can be used to either cause massive damage to attackers holding in such tight yet harder to clear spots or flush them out and can then further be killed by a Duelist or even Breach himself. This ability can also be combined and used effectively with Flashpoint, his other basic ability which is essentially a flashbang that can even be cast through walls on similar spots. Though slow-paced, his Fault Line ability can also be used similarly to clear out spots but the upside to it is that it can cover a larger area. It is most effective on spots such as Boathouse on Ascent B site. To top it all off, his ultimate, Rolling Thunder is widely regarded as one of the best abilities to take or retake a site.
Skye:

Skye is an Australian initiator in Valorant. This animal friendly character has grown to be one of the most used initiators in Valorant. This is not surprising considering the versatility of her abilities. Her Guiding light is a flash that Skye has almost full control on and can be easily used to not only flash enemies inside the site but also gain intel as the Guiding Light makes a unique sound when an enemy is actually flashed. Her Trailblazer, which is essentially a scout can be used to gather intel before the retake comes in such as enemy utility, clear spots and enemy positions. Her ultimate is also of great use when retaking a site. Skye can activate her ultimate before the retake comes in and her teammates can follow the seekers to the enemy locations. Even if the seekers are destroyed, it leaves the enemies vulnerable. The only ability perhaps which cannot be used in a retake is her Regrowth. Regrowth is a healing ability which is very slow-paced when compared to other healing abilities in Valorant.
Conclusion:
The edge in this comparison easily goes to Breach. Although both initiators are very good support characters and even very good characters overall, in a retake, Breach’s abilities can be put to use more effectively when compared to those of Skye. Skye is more of an intel gatherer while Breach is considered a site clearing character. Additionally, Skye’s healing trinket is not that effective in Retake situations when there is limited time and the Spike is ticking down. site clearing abilities are preferred to intel gathering abilities when it comes down to retake situations.
