France national football team has finally revealed their 25-member squad that will take the flight to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup and fans have already started questioning the decisions and the selections made by the manager Didier Deschamps. With a few of the players coming out as a surprise such as Jordan Veretout and Matteo Guendouzi, fingers are pointed toward the manager for rejecting a talent such as Ferland Mendy.

Ferland Mendy has been absolutely superb in that left flank for Real Madrid and has hardly put a foot wrong in their conquest of the UEFA Champions League last season. Despite that, he has been overlooked by the manager and Deschamps has decided to put his trust in AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez as the only left-back in the squad.

Deschamps is also being criticized for ignoring Leeds United’s Illan Mesliar who has the most saves per shots ratio in the Premier League and he decided to go with the 37-year-old veteran goalkeeper, Steve Mandanda. With Matteo Guendouzi and Jordan Veretout getting a place in the squad, the manager has taken some brave calls.
