Barely there had been an instance when The Rock didn’t revert to profanity in his promos during the lead-up to WrestleMania XL. For every pre-empted appearance he did on either Raw or SmackDown, The Great One made it a practice to dispatch a lengthy harangue on social media in advance. Usually, they used to be up every Friday afternoon before Dwayne Johnson had to leave for WWE tapings.

Now that he’s back in Hollywood, the netizens would hardly see that side of the 52-year-old. But his business partner thinks otherwise. Speaking on the Masked Man Show, Brian Gewirtz said he could see The Rock casually dropping another one of those promos he so routinely dispensed while he was active. However, Gewirtz believed it wouldn’t be on loop but there’s always a possibility now that he’s on the Board of Directors at TKO.

Brian also expressed how satisfied he was with how everything panned out with The Great One en route to WrestleMania. The SVP of Seven Bucks Productions went on to describe how the curtain drawing to this year’s Showcase of the Immortals was reminiscent to Darth Vader getting spun out at the end of Star Wars. But he wasn’t killed. Similarly, giving an insight into Johnson’s WWE future, Gewirtz said it’s not over yet and fans have no idea what’s coming their way.

I don't think it's going to be a regular occurrence, but I do think it's going to happen and it's great because he's in it, and by extension, I'm in it too.

The former WWE lead writer also underscored how the Black Adam star outright told Cody Rhodes on Raw-post WrestleMania XL that their story is just about beginning. There was recently a rumor that The People’s Champ returned to WWE for an extended run only to turn around his Hollywood career.

Did The Rock’s obscene promos get him into trouble?

In hindsight, what a timeline it was to witness The Rock being a full-time presence in WWE. It led to his first match in eight years that he eventually won with Roman Reigns by his side.

But there was some discourse that stemmed from Rock’s blatant use of cuss words in the promos that he delivered, be it online or on live television. Several outlets stated how the networks weren’t elated with Mr. Johnson’s code of conduct.

Some red flags were also raised over how Dwayne was seemingly painting his executive standing in TKO in bad light with the kind of profanity he resorted to. However, The Brahma Bull himself went out of his way to dismiss such made-up stories.
