WWE in Turin became a happy hunting ground for Brock Lesnar at Clash in Italy as he finally tamed Oba Femi to get even with him after that devastating WrestleMania loss in April. It took a total of seven F-5s for Lesnar to keep Femi down for the referee’s count of three. It handed ‘The Ruler’ his first loss since getting officially promoted to the main roster.

Speaking of their match over the weekend at the Inalpi Arena, ‘The Beast’ ambushed the Nigerian wrestler the moment he took his eyes off Lesnar, and it allowed the former UFC ace to soften up his opponent with four ring-shaking F-5s. But they weren’t enough to keep Femi down as he kicked out at two.

‘The Conqueror’ then acted upon Paul Heyman‘s counsel and applied the Kimura Lock to take more out of the 28-year-old. It made Femi writhe in pain, but he did well to get out of the predicament. ‘The One in 21-1’ went for the Kimura again, but ‘The Ruler’ fended it off by ramming Lesnar’s back into the turnbuckle a couple of times.

The former NXT Champion went for a chokeslam, which Lesnar countered by hitting a fifth F-5 but still couldn’t put Femi away, and it just angered Lesnar even further. The 10-time world champion went for a sixth F-5, which Oba Femi reversed successfully to plant the WWE icon with a Chokeslam for a near fall.

The action then spilled over to the ringside area, where Lesnar F-5ed Femi through the commentary desk, causing it to break. ‘The Beast’ wisely rolled back inside the ring and started celebrating as if he’d already won. The referee took cognizance of the situation, and Femi was on the verge of being counted out.

However, Femi immediately stood up on his own feet and re-entered the ring to avoid getting beaten that way. ‘The Ruler’ clocked ‘The Beast’ with three running uppercuts in the corner and toss-slammed Lesnar. The latter got perched up for a Fall from Grace but Lesnar jumped out of it to hit Femi with a seventh F-5, which was enough to fetch Lesnar the win over Femi.

After the match, ‘The Beast’ yelled at a battered Femi that “one plus one is two” and affirmed that ‘The Ruler’ was done. Michael Cole noted on commentary that Lesnar and Femi were one win apiece, which calls for a decider to settle their beef for once and for all.

The fans are under the impression that it’s most likely to happen at SummerSlam, which could most likely serve as Brock Lesnar‘s farewell in WWE. It was recently reported that ‘The Beast Incarnate’ was expected to make appearances in WWE after Clash in Italy as well.

Cody Rhodes steals one over Gunther in screwy finish at WWE Clash in Italy

WWE’s first-ever PLE in Italy kicked things off with Cody Rhodes defending the Undisputed WWE title against Gunther in front of what was largely a bipartisan crowd in Turin. Being hailed as two of the most technically sound wrestlers on the planet today, Rhodes and Gunther beat each other up for just over 11 minutes.

‘The American Nightmare’ retained the championship in an extremely controversial ending that saw ‘The QB1’ pin ‘The Ring General’ following a second Cross Rhodes. However, it wasn’t fair since Gunther had already placed his foot under the bottom rope, thinking the referee would see it and wouldn’t even initiate the count as per the rules of the game.

That’s why Gunther started immediately protesting about it and couldn’t believe what had just happened out there. It was clearly displayed in the replay that the Austrian’s foot was indeed under the bottom rope, which the referee didn’t spot from his vantage point. Even the commentators acknowledged that miscue from the ref, Dan Engler.

After the show got over, Rhodes addressed the noise himself and was willing to bestow a rematch for the title on Gunther. It’s bound to happen at this point. With WWE’s next premium live event slated for June 27, one might imagine that Rhodes and Gunther will run it back at Night of Champions. However, there’s a healthy possibility of Sami Zayn being factored into the Rhodes/Gunther saga in some capacity.
