Bron Breakker gets taken out by Jey Uso after defeating Kofi Kingston (via WWE)
The latest episode of Raw, held in St. Louis, featured a double taping due to WWE’s upcoming UK tour next week. As a result, next week’s episode was pre-recorded during the same event. The tapings included a showdown between Bron Breakker and Kofi Kingston, following their tussle this week, and a heroic save by Intercontinental Champion Jey Uso.
Breakker defeated the former WWE Champion in their bout, but he wasn’t content with just the win. He continued his assault on Kingston and his tag team partner, Xavier Woods. This prompted Uso to come out and ambush the former NXT Champion with a spear. The 10-time Tag Team Champion then helped the Ghanaian to his feet and delivered a final blow to Breakker, nailing him with a superkick.
Jey Uso secured his first title defense against Woods on the latest episode of Raw. After the match, the champion went up to shake his opponent’s hand. However, the challenger refused and started to walk away with Kingston. Amidst this distraction, Breakker showed up out of nowhere and landed a deadly spear on the Intercontinental Champion.

Breakker had seemingly turned babyface on last week’s episode of Raw. He claimed that Uso was the better man in their championship match and, thus, deserved to hold the coveted title. However, this was clearly a ruse, as evident by his attack on the current champion this week as well as Kingston. Despite their repeated arguments, Woods stepped in to tend to his partner. However, he also became a victim of a huge spear.
Jey Uso is not fond of Bron Breakker using The Spear
The Spear is a professional wrestling move that has been used inside the ring for decades. Bill Goldberg is generally credited with inventing and popularizing the spear during his WCW days. Since then, the spear has been used by many superstars like Edge, Roman Reigns, and even Charlotte Flair. However, Jey Uso, another user of the spear, clearly isn’t thrilled about sharing the same finisher as Bron Breakker.
Jackie Redmond interviewed Uso after the latest episode of Raw had gone off the air. The Intercontinental Champion was seen icing his abdomen after eating a spear from Breakker earlier in the night, claiming that he was in a lot of pain. The Samoan stated that he would have given the 26-year-old a rematch out of respect anyway. However, now that he had shown his true colors, they were definitely going to run it back.
Uso admitted that it stung a little when someone hit him with a move that he uses himself. He recollected how he had taken spears from his cousin, Roman Reigns. However, an outsider using the move on him felt disrespectful.
