Bryson DeChambeau has found his name trending again. The LIV Golf star sent shockwaves across the golf community by shockingly questioning the moon landing footage in a podcast appearance this month.
The 2-time major champion has a huge devotion to science. His analytical approach to the game of golf has led to many referring to him as “The Scientist.”
However, he has now sparked controversy with a huge take regarding science. While appearing on the podcast hosted by Katie Miller, the wife of White House senior adviser Stephen Miller, the golfer expressed that he does not believe the moon landing footage was real.
Look, Elon [Musk] says we’ve definitely gone there. So I tend to go that route, because he’s the man that knows quite a bit about all that. … I don’t think the footage is real. But I think we did go to the moon. I don’t know about the footage. It’s quite, it’s quite wild.

DeChambeau also believes that there are some interdimensional beings out in space. The 32-year-old, who has a major degree in physics from college, claims that there are “aliens” out there.
I do think that there are interdimensional beings out there, for sure. I think they’re more than just aliens from another world. Maybe aliens from another world. But I think there’s more. There’s a lot more to that story.
Bryson DeChambeau added
There have been several conspiracy theories regarding the Moon Landing. On July 20, 1969, NASA’s Apollo 11 landed on the moon. Neil Armstrong would become the first human to walk on the surface of the moon.
An estimated 600 to 650 million people worldwide watched the Moon Landing. A few moments after Armstrong landed, Buzz Aldrin joined him. Then-U.S. President Richard Nixon also spoke with them through a telephone-radio transmission.
Social media reacts to Bryson DeChambeau’s moon landing comments
Bryson DeChambeau has often made some big comments regarding golf. This time, he kept the sport aside and talked about science, and went on to claim that he does not believe that the moon landing footage was real. Social media users were left shaking their heads after this.

Many users on X slammed him for this take. Several of them called him out, while some urged him to stick to golf. One user wrote, “This is embarrassing on so many levels,” while taking a dig at the Crushers GC captain.

He’s a deeply, deeply unserious person in nearly every way, just like the rest of the smoothbrained magats?

Truly shocking.
Two signs of mental illness displayed, IMO. First, denying the moon landing. Second, being anywhere near white nationalist Katie Miller @brysondech

Just stay the hell away from us
In the podcast, DeChambeau expressed confidence regarding his chances at the PGA Championship. Things, however, came crashing down for him as he missed the cut at the Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania last Friday.
Bryson DeChambeau missed second straight major cut at PGA Championship
Bryson DeChambeau did not have the best of times at the Aronimink Golf Club last week as he ended up missing the cut. This marked a second straight major event where he failed to secure his playing status for the weekend.

In April, DeChambeau missed the cut at the Masters Tournament as well. He came into the first major on the back of successive wins at the LIV Golf circuit.
After missing the cut at the Augusta National, he withdrew from the LIV Golf Mexico event due to a wrist injury. In his return at the LIV Golf Virginia event, he finished 3rd.
In the first round of the PGA Championship, he fired a score of 76. Despite making 3 straight birdies to end the round on Friday, he finished with a score of 7-over par for the tournament and missed the cutline by 3 shots.

This marked the first time since 2017 that he had missed the cut in two straight majors. That year, he missed the cut at the U.S. Open and the Open Championship. He has never missed the cut in three successive major championships.

Last time he did that? Nine years ago at the 2017 U.S. Open at Erin Hills and the 2017 Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.

This development also comes at a time when there is major uncertainty regarding his future. At the moment, he is in the final year of his contract with LIV Golf.
The league itself, however, has dark clouds looming over its future. With the loss of financial support from the Public Investment Fund (PIF), there are speculations that the league would fold after the end of the 2026 season.
In an interview, DeChambeau claimed that he would stick with YouTube and focus on growing his channel. The American International has over 2.69 million subscribers on the video-sharing platform. It remains to be seen what will happen with his future.
