Eduardo Camavinga, the sensational youngster from France is one of the most sought after talents in the world. The 17-year-old had offers from big clubs like Real Madrid who were keen to bring in the youngster, but he decided to stay with Rennes.
There were doubts about whether he made the right decision with the youngster being offered the chance to play with his idols Kroos and Modric.
However, Camavinga has stated that he is delighted to stay another year in Ligue 1, “Certainly when a big club is interested, it is nice. But I am not getting carried away. I took this choice with my family [to stay at Rennes]. Today we are happy to have made this decision. I just need to focus on football and not think too much about everything else around it. Life is very good at the moment.”
Camavinga enters his name into the record books.
Camvinga also made his France debut earlier this month, becoming the youngest debut player in 96 years for Les Bleus, and had left the fans singing praises in his name. The Rennes no. 10 has already scored 1 and assisted 1 in the first 3 games of the French Ligue 1 rocketing Rennes to the top of the table.
In fact, he scored the winning goal against Montpellier, forcing his team-mate Steven Nzonzi to even comment on his performance, “Cama put in a great goal. He knows how to make the difference individually. He brings in defensively and offensively, he is complete.”
Only time will tell how much this young talent can achieve, but by the looks of it, he is staying right here at Rennes and the only way out is up for this youngster.
