Carlos Alcaraz Reportedly Not Dating Claudia Canals Despite Cozy Yacht Outing: “It Might Become a Relationship”

Carlos Alcaraz attended the FIFA World Cup final between Spain and Argentina in New York. He is set to make his return in Cincinnati. Alcaraz, despite not competing on the tour since the Barcelona Open, regularly makes headlines, and recently, he was spotted on a yacht with a mystery woman during his vacation in Italy.

That woman, as per reports, is Claudia Canals. The pictures have sparked romance rumors, but as per The Objective, they are not yet dating.

It’s not a relationship as such, but the journalists caught them and, well, it’s gotten out. It might become a relationship.

Canals, as per The Objective’s report, is a Barcelona-based businesswoman who specializes in digital marketing, digital communication, and content creation. Some reports also claim she founded her own agency and appeared on a television program.

If Alcaraz indeed plays in Cincinnati, then he will be bidding to defend his title. Last year, he was handed the walkover by Jannik Sinner in the final, and later at the US Open, he beat the Italian to win his second title in the tournament.

Alcaraz has already made three finals this year. He beat Novak Djokovic in the Australian Open final and beat Arthur Fils in the Qatar Open final.

Alcaraz later lost to Sinner in the Monte Carlo final, because of which he also lost his No.1 ranking to the five-time Grand Slam champion. The seven-time Grand Slam champion now stands in the third spot due to Alexander Zverev‘s run to the final of the grass-court Major.

Novak Djokovic on facing Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner

This year in the first three Majors, three youngsters became the reason behind Novak Djokovic‘s exit. Although he was able to defeat Jannik Sinner in the semifinals of the Australian Open, he ended up losing the final to Carlos Alcaraz.

Then at the French Open, Djokovic was two sets to love up in the third round against Joao Fonseca, who made a stunning comeback to knock out Nole. At the recently concluded Wimbledon, Djokovic’s campaign ended with a straight-set defeat to Sinner. The 39-year-old knows how to beat the youngsters, but it’s his body that’s stopping him from playing to his full potential.

I want to kick their a**. With Alcaraz and Sinner being the dominant forces in tennis, these two guys remind me so much of myself. I’m like, ‘I’m playing myself from about 10 years ago.’ It kind of hurts me to feel it. I know how to crack the code, but can I?

Novak Djokovic said on The Shop

Djokovic last won a Grand Slam title at the 2023 US Open. And since then, he has made three Major finals, losing all to Alcaraz. The last time he won a title was at the 2025 Hellenic Championship.

I’m still feeling like I can compete at the highest level, and the results are there. But the moment is approaching; no question, it is closer than ever. I am still trying to enjoy myself. We’ll have this conversation later.

Novak Djokovic added

Sinner lifted his sixth title of the season at Wimbledon after his wins in Indian Wells, Miami, Monte Carlo, Madrid, and Rome. After becoming the second man to complete the Career Golden Masters after Djokovic, Sinner suffered a shock second-round defeat at the French Open.

Sinner is next set to play at the Canadian Open, which he won in 2023 but didn’t play last year. The 24-year-old will complete the Golden Masters if he wins the remaining four Masters 1000s. He is on a 34-match winning streak in the Masters 1000s.
