I saw him struggling a little bit. I was cramping… Jannik as well in the 3rd set. We had to fight. I learned from last years match against Djokovic I was in the same position like today.

As the games got tighter, so did their forehands. Both the players had launched some fiery shots to try to stay in the game. Even though Alcaraz had more winners in his name, Sinner also brought out everything he had in the match but unfortunately could not capitalize on the lead and failed to seal the match.

At the very start, Alcaraz struggled with his movement, resulting in an early first-set loss. However, as the game improved, so did his cramps, but the reverse happened with Sinner. Just as the Italian was getting the better of his rival, he faced nasty cramps on his dominant hand, which greatly affected his shots.

Luckily, the cramps went away, but the match was already in an important part and Alcaraz finished really strong and looked extremely on form in the last set. Even though Sinner looked good for the major part of the match, it was Alcaraz who got through to his first-ever Roland Garros finals.
