Charles Leclerc set the fastest time in Saturday’s qualifying sessions at the Azerbaijan GP, earning pole position. However, the Monegasque failed to convert that pole into victory, losing the lead to Oscar Piastri on lap 20 of the Baku City circuit. Piastri’s win pushed McLaren to the top of the Constructors’ standings, making them the new leaders.

Although Ferrari is close behind in the Constructors’ standings, Charles Leclerc felt that he needed a bit of luck to compete effectively in the Drivers’ standings. In an interview, he stated that there is a chance he could win the driver’s championship, but it won’t be easy.

Leclerc pointed out that Ferrari needs to enhance their car’s performance to compete with McLaren, who currently have the fastest car. Additionally, he believed that he would need some luck on his side to become the world champion.

There is definitely an opportunity, but I think realistically, to take the drivers' championship is going to require not only a step in performance, but probably a little bit of luck as well.
Charles Leclerc said, as reported by RacingNews365

Leclerc mentioned that the chances of Ferrari winning the Constructors’ Championships are still very much open and the team is in a good mood despite failing to win at Baku.

For the constructors', everything is to play for because I think it is 40-something points, and with two drivers in one team, it is feasible.
