German motorsport racer Ralf Schumacher has delivered a damning verdict on Visa Cash App RB driver Daniel Ricciardo. The Australian is currently one of the few drivers without a permanent contract for the upcoming season.

Daniel Ricciardo was one of the most talented drivers in Formula 1 up until a few years back. He has, however, failed to perform at the same level ever since his departure from Red Bull in 2018. Ricciardo has amassed only 12 points so far this season, failing to improve on his poor form.

Ralf Schumacher has revealed that the 35-year-old might be replaced by Liam Lawson after the Singapore Grand Prix. Lawson, who was impressive in his first runs for AlphaTauri (RB) last season, has been longing for a seat on the grid.

I’m proud. Like, don’t get me wrong, if it ended today, I would be proud of what I’ve done. But on the same note, you’re never fully satisfied because the reason I got into Formula One was to try to become world champion.
Daniel Ricciardo said in an interview with CNN sports

Ricciardo is proud of his achievements and would be happy to retire in the near future. He, however, said that his dream of becoming a world champion remains unfulfilled, which leaves a saddening feeling in his heart.

Ricciardo has since been wanting to make a return to Red Bull to try one last time at winning the title. Keeping in view everything that has been discussed, the upcoming Singapore GP weekend could prove to be an immensely crucial moment in the Australian’s career.
