No one anticipated that Max Verstappen and Red Bull would face the struggles they are currently enduring. The 2024 season started off promising, but as it progressed, they encountered numerous car issues. Sergio Perez was set for a podium at the Azerbaijan GP, but a late incident on the penultimate lap ruined it. This made Verstappen believe that the upcoming races would prove even more challenging than the last race.

Max Verstappen expressed determination to come back stronger at the Singapore GP. He mentioned that the Marina Bay Circuit is a cool and exciting track, but includes more of a challenge.

He expected that it will be difficult as Red Bull had lost their car’s pace which was clearly evident at Baku. Historically, Singapore has been a challenging circuit for the Austrian team due to its tight corners, tough conditions, and the unique demands it places on both the car and the driver.

He also pointed out that the weather plays a big role in making the races even thougher. The weather being extremely hot and humid, makes it difficult for the drivers to focus on the race and even puts extra stress on car’s and it’s tires. However, The Dutchman asserted that the fight is not over yet with seven races remaining.

The race is usually quite close here and obviously very hot and humid.

We are continuing to fight for the Championship: we win and lose as a team and are going to keep pushing and try and come back stronger.

After Baku, Red Bull now faces a 20-point deficit to McLaren in the constructors’ championship. To regain the lead, they must focus on resolving their current issues in order to start competing with the rapid pace of the MCL38. The performance of the RB20 has also hindered Max Verstappen’s hopes of defending his championship, adding more pressure on him.
