Chennai Super Kings aiming to begin IPL camp in UAE from early August

Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is aiming to set up their preparatory camp for the 13th season of the event from early August. This year’s IPL was planned to begin from March 29, however, the tournament was postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Recently, the IPL Governing Council chairman Brijesh Patel had confirmed that the 13th season of the tournament will begin on September 19 in the UAE.

CSK eyeing IPL camp in UAE
CSK players have asked to report to Chennai first and then they will leave for Dubai via a charter flight only after approval from the government, as per a report from ESPNcricinfo.
The IPL Governing Council will meet on August 2 to finalize the schedule for the tournament and also the Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) around securing eight teams for 51 days across three venues will be ascertained.
Before the pandemic, CSK was the first one to start their training camp in March.
