Over the years, several fighters have made their way to the UFC through an initiative called Road to UFC. Many of these fighters often face challenges in the promotion. However, this is not the case for the upcoming Chinese women’s flyweight prospect, Wang Cong. She will soon fight on the UFC Macau card this weekend.

The upcoming UFC Macau will be Wang Cong’s second appearance in the promotion. Interestingly, the Chinese fighter uses the gimmick of the infamous fictional character, The Joker. As part of her pre-fight rituals, Cong always applies Joker makeup, which is widely appreciated by the public. Once again, ahead of her fight against Gabriella Fernandes, the Chinese fighter showcased her Joker persona.

Fans of combat sports seem to appreciate the persona of Cong. Notably, her impressive performances in the promotion have captured attention as well. In her promotional debut, Cong secured a stunning victory over Victoria Leonardo by KO/TKO. With this win, the Chinese fighter made a name for herself, earning recognition from UFC CEO Dana White for her exceptional performance.

The UFC CEO is known for recognizing fighters who demonstrate exceptional striking skills in the octagon, and Cong did just that during her fight. As a result, Dana White awarded the Chinese fighter a bonus for her performance in her promotional debut. With Cong showcasing a similar persona ahead of her upcoming match, fans are eagerly anticipating another striking masterclass from the Chinese star.

Wang Cong is currently 6-0 in her professional MMA career. Interestingly, she also boasts an impressive kickboxing record, including a win over former UFC champion Valentina Shevchenko.
