Christian Cage made his debut for AEW in March 2021. Many fans have claimed that he has since been doing the best work of his career, and continues to be a mentor to the young talent in the company. However, all of that would not have happened if it hadn’t been for the presence of their top star, Jon Moxley.

Speaking on Insights with Chris Van Vliet, the wrestling veteran revealed that his friend, Jon Moxley, was blown away when he found out that he wasn’t signed to any company. The former SHIELD member encouraged him to have a conversation with Tony Khan and sign with the Jacksonville-based promotion.

Christian Cage was unsure of what to do at that point in his career. In return, the former AEW World Champion told him that he would be an idiot if he didn’t at least give it a go. One held all the cards in AEW. The company gave wrestlers the ability to pick where they refinish their careers.

This motivated Captain Charisma to go forward with signing with AEW. The move has clearly worked out for him. He continues to be one of the most popular acts on television. The 50-year-old was crowned AEW TNT Champion for several months. Later, he also ended up being reunited with his long time best friend, Adam Copeland.

NJPW announces the stipulation for Jon Moxley’s defense of the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Evil

Jon Moxley is slated to return to Japan on June 9th for NJPW Dominion in Osaka. The former WWE star was already supposed to defend his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Evil. However, a new stipulation has now been added to the title defense.

The title defense will take place under Lumberjack Deathmatch rules. This implies several wrestlers will surround the ring to keep the action inside, with no disqualifications. It was highly likely that wrestlers from Evil’s House of Torture would be lumberjacks in the match to support the challenger. However, it was unclear who would be in Moxley’s corner.

Although many speculated fans would see appearances from the Blackpool Combat Club, that is not the case. The former Money in the Bank winner announced that he would have some major legends in his corner, such as  Yuji Nagata, Togi Majabe, Hiroyoshi Tenzan, and Tiger Mask.
