Christian Pulisic has been in red-hot form for AC Milan since the start of the season. The USMNT captain played a huge role in Milan’s 2-1 win over Inter and recently helped his side to a 3-0 win over Serie A side Lecce. As the former Chelsea man enjoys his stay in Italy, reports suggest that the player may soon make a return to the Premier League.
It is understood that Pulisic’s name has been included in a list of potential replacements for Mohamed Salah at Liverpool. The Egyptian is expected to leave the club when his contract expires next summer. Having played for Chelsea in the past, Pulisic has ample experience in the English top flight. He has scored a total of 20 goals in 98 appearances in the competition.
Pulisic joined Italian giants AC Milan for a fee in the region of €22 million back in July 2023. Reports state that the Reds will have to pay double of what Milan paid Chelsea if they are to secure the services of the American.
With his goal against Lecce in Milan’s latest match, the player has now scored 20 goals for the club.
Christian Pulisic in the ‘form of his life’ as USMNT star picks up seven goal contributions in last six games for AC Milan
As Liverpool look to bring Christian Pulisic to the club in the near future, the 26-year-old continues to be in top form since the start of the season. The American has made a goal contribution in all but one of his games for the club, with the exception coming against Torino. He has made seven goal contributions in his last six games for the club.
With five goals and two assists, Pulisic’s name finds a spot in both top goal scorers and assist providers. He is the leading goal-getter alongside Mateo Retegui and Marcus Thuram. A fan commented that leaving Chelsea was one of the best decisions he made for his career and if Milan win Serie A, Pulisic will receive most of the credit.
Another stated that Captain America has finally come out of his shell and will now keep scoring bangers till the end of the season. Milan are currently third in Serie A with 11 points from six games. Juventus lead the pack with a point more than them.
