Emmanuel Acho seems to have gotten on the bad side of the Philadelphia Eagles, and as wild as their fanbase is, he will not be forgiven. After Nolan Smith slammed the Fox Sports analyst on social media, Philly star safety CJ Gardner-Johnson demanded Acho stop comparing them to the Dallas Cowboys.
The Eagles are coming off a historic victory, defeating the two-time Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs at 40-22. The last thing they need in their glorious celebration and path to becoming potentially the greatest dynasty is a comparison with divisional rivals, the Cowboys.
That’s why, when Acho made a rather exaggerated statement about the Cowboys being such an Eagles offseason away to end their three-decade-long Super Bowl drought, the Philly didn’t let it go easily. First, Smith called Acho a hater, then Gardner-Johnson joined in with a four-word stern message on X.
“Stop Comparing us please!!!” wrote the star safety, retweeting Acho’s remark shared by Fox Sports’ The Facility.

Interestingly, the Emmy winner tried amending his statement after Smith’s confrontation, defending himself of being a hater by highlighting that he has sung many praises to the Super Bowl LIX champions to such a point that his “voice hurts.” However, the Eagles don’t seem convinced as they no longer see themselves on the same level as the Cowboys, who are struggling both on and off-field.
Besides Emmanuel Acho, Dak Prescott remains confident in Cowboys’ potential to win Super Bowl
Despite the ongoing struggle following the collapse of the 2024 season at 7-10, the Cowboys owner Jerry Jones doesn’t believe his team lacks anything. He even expressed shock before the Super Bowl over the fact that his team could not qualify for the playoffs. However, he isn’t the only one to believe so.

I feel like we’ve competed with the Eagles and beat them for the most part when we’ve played them. I don’t want to say, ‘Check the record,’ when the other guy is holding the trophy, right? So, credit to them. They’ve earned it, and they deserve it by all means. But, yeah, very close. It’s our turn and it’s on us.

Prescott’s confidence in his team’s ability to beat the Eagles was based on the past. Philly didn’t even give Dallas a chance in both the encounters of the 2024 season– when the Cowboys star quarterback had to spend most of the time in recovery. And considering the Cowboys’ current offseason, they may face more challenges in the next 2025 season.
