CM Punk Recreates Iconic WWE Pose After Elimination Chamber Win over Finn Balor
CM Punk seems to be on cloud nine after retaining his world title at WWE Elimination Chamber.

CM Punk had a successful night in his return to Chicago for the Elimination Chamber PLE this Saturday at the United Center. Not only did he retain his World Heavyweight title against Finn Balor, but Punk’s better half, AJ Lee, added to that moment by capturing her first title in WWE in over a decade. She beat Becky Lynch to win the women’s Intercontinental title.
‘The Best in the World’ posted a picture of himself on Instagram that’s been making the rounds for obvious reasons. Punk recreated an iconic pro wrestling pose, in which he could be seen wearing the world title around his midsection and Lee’s women’s IC title around his chest. ‘The Second City Saint’ had a grin on his face, and why not? The post, as of writing, clocked over 200k likes in four hours.
Punk’s wife couldn’t resist commenting on it, and she said, “He is my emergency contact.” Punk seems relaxed after what he was able to pull off against Balor in the ring. It was their repeat encounter from last month in Belfast, losing which didn’t sit well with ‘The Prince’. He wanted to show the world he still had it in himself and was willing to take on Punk in Chicago only.
Despite putting his best foot forward, the Judgment Day member went down to the ‘Voice of the Voiceless’. Balor initiated a handshake after the match, which Punk accepted after a slight hesitation. It appeared like the Irishman unofficially turned babyface in that moment. Meanwhile, CM Punk is now going to defend his world title against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42.

‘The OTC’ aimed a dig at the ‘Best in the World’ in the aftermath of his title retention at the Elimination Chamber. Reigns posted on X wondering what looked more tired last night, the crowd or the champion? The former Bloodline leader asked Punk to enjoy his final month of relevancy. ‘The Second City Saint’ had a sharp response to his WrestleMania challenger on the post show.

Punk trolled ‘The OTC’ by calling him “Rusty Reigns,” mocking his part-time schedule. Punk added that he’s staying on the edge because that’s where he’s supposed to stay, while Reigns will turn up to Mania with a ton of ring rust. Both men will be under the same roof on this week’s WWE Raw in Indianapolis. The fans could definitely expect some fireworks should they meet in the ring again.
AJ Lee breaks over a decade-long title drought in WWE at Elimination Chamber
Speaking of the only women’s title match on the Elimination Chamber match card, Becky Lynch defended her women’s Intercontinental Championship against AJ Lee. The chicanery cost Lynch. She exposed a top rope turnbuckle in hopes of using it to her advantage. The match referee, Jessica Carr, tried putting the protective padding back but couldn’t as Lynch drove Lee into Carr.

‘The Man’ then inadvertently kicked the lady ref on the side of her head to take Carr out momentarily. In the meantime, Lee had locked the Black Widow submission maneuver on ‘Big Time Becks’, and she was tapping out. However, the referee didn’t spot it. ‘The Irish Lass Kicker’ took advantage of the situation and planted AJ’s face first into the steel chairs.

Lynch got rid of the evidence before the referee got in a position to count. Lee survived it to keep her hopes of winning her first title since 2014 alive. The closing moments saw AJ Lee evading Lynch’s attempt to flatten her in the corner.
The Irish wrestler bore the brunt of that exposed turnbuckle, which never got fixed after Lynch ruffled it. AJ Lee locked her opponent in the Black Widow for a second time, and it proved decisive. Lynch tapped out to Lee, who’s now the brand-new women’s WWE Intercontinental Champion.
