As WWE approaches the tail end of 2024, the speculation encircling The Rock‘s return has jacked up. Having last shown up for a one-off appearance at October’s Bad Blood PLE, The Great One is believed to be done with WWE for at least the ongoing year. His arch-nemesis, Cody Rhodes, recently spoke to Adrian Hernandez at the Complex Con. He knows what’s up with The Final Boss.

The Undisputed WWE Champion affirmed that whenever Rock comes back, he’ll be coming after someone Cody knows. The latter said he’s not uninformed about what to expect from the 52-year-old wrestling great. As one might’ve inferred from Rhodes’ rhetorical statements, he’s alluding to himself being on the Hollywood actor’s radar. And how could he stay quiet?

A previous report from WrestleVotes stated that a triple-threat match featuring The American Nightmare, The People’s Champ, and Roman Reigns is on the table for WrestleMania 41. This falls in line with Rock staring down at both Rhodes and Reigns during the closing moments of Bad Blood.

It says that if Dwayne Johnson were to face his cousin Reigns one-on-one at The Showcase of the Immortals in Las Vegas, that’d leave Cody aside. However, in that scenario, The Prodigal Son will play a pivotal role in shaping up the main event on the first night

It has quickly become a laughing stock among wrestling circles on social media, with many saying that The Rock needs to bid adieu to his Hollywood career. Instead, he should return to WWE on a more frequent basis.

As things stand, WWE hasn’t announced any return date for The Brahma Bull. However, it’s expected that he’d be there for the Netflix premiere of Raw in January. Most recently, the Moana 2 actor appeared on The Tonight Show, where he joked about starting an OnlyFans account
