WrestleMania 41 has well over half a year to spare; however, the anticipation has started to pick up. Cody Rhodes was recently asked his viewpoint about “Stone Cold” Steve Austin potentially pulling up to the PLE in Las Vegas next year. Speaking to Gabby LaSpisa during the SummerSlam weekend, the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion said he’d love to see Austin in any capacity.

Continuing further, Rhodes claimed that Austin hasn’t really punched his ‘Legends Card’ enough. He could easily come on board and have a tag team match, added Cody. However, the latter alluded to the fact that Steve Austin is quite reserved about his WWE appearances and agrees to stuff only if it’s of paramount magnitude. For instance, the 59-year-old last showed up at WrestleMania 38. It’s been well over two years.

That time, WrestleMania was in his native state of Texas. He even wrestled a formal match lasting over 10 minutes against Kevin Owens. Austin didn’t show signs of tardiness, but he kept taking shots of his beer, the Broken Skull IPA, to stay hydrated. At the end, he stunned Owens to win his in-ring return after 19 years. He hasn’t been around since then. Will that change in Sin City?

I feel like he hasn't punched his legends card enough. He could just come in and tag with somebody. I know he probably wants it to be at the highest of levels, but you're a legend, you can do whatever you want.

Recently, The Texas Rattlesnake teased making a trip to Nevada, where the Showcase of the Immortals is slated to descend on April 19 and 20, 2025. Steve might not compete, but there’s a lot he can add by only appearing on the show.

The Attitude Era icon was heavily rumored to aid Cody Rhodes in his pursuit of finishing the story against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL. But, WWE and Austin couldn’t agree financially. As a result, the spot that was previously earmarked for the Bionic Redneck was offered to The Undertaker, and he gleefully accepted.

At SummerSlam this past weekend in Cleveland, Cody Rhodes successfully defended his Undisputed WWE title against Solo Sikoa. Rhodes’ arch-nemesis, Roman Reigns, did return during the dying moments to soften up an outspoken Sikoa.

Cody and Reigns too had a spine-chilling staredown for a while before The American Nightmare pinned Solo to retain. During the post-show press conference, Rhodes said that he might still owe a rematch to Reigns. However, for the time being, he could take a breather.

Things are on the boil within The Bloodline, especially after Roman’s comeback. He’d appear on this week’s SmackDown. The fans are eagerly waiting to see what unfolds next in this enthralling Bloodline saga. Meanwhile, Cody is likely to learn who’s going to be the next challenger for his gold.
