Earlier today, the incumbent prez of the United States, Joe Biden, announced that he’d not partake in the upcoming presidential race to reclaim his office. Instead, he’s endorsed VP Kamala Harris to be the new Democratic nominee, much to the delight of his political counterpart, Donald Trump. Amidst the ado unfolding in real time, a fan on X asked reigning WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes to run for the president’s office.
In response, The American Nightmare said, “Maybe one day.” It might take a long time before Cody decides to head in that direction. However, he does believe that if The Rock were to contest the elections to be the next president of the United States, he’d win by a landslide margin. Rhodes admitted to the pervasive influence of the Hollywood actor in a recent conversation with Chris Van Vliet.

Both Cody and Rock were involved in a heated rivalry en route to WrestleMania XL. Even though The Prodigal Son was able to finish his story with Roman Reigns, he couldn’t score a pin over The Final Boss. Instead, the real-life Dwayne Johnson was the one to ground Rhodes’ shoulders for that three-count on night 1 of WrestleMania 40. With that in mind, the two men are far from over.

On Raw post-WrestleMania XL, The Brahma Bull affirmed he’d be coming back for Cody Rhodes. Even though many fans predicted that they might battle it out at this year’s SummerSlam, it couldn’t happen due to Rock’s filming schedule. But it very well seems to be on track for The Showcase of the Immortals in Las Vegas next year. The only thing that remains to be seen is when The Great One finally comes back for yet another extended WWE run.
Cody Rhodes finds himself in unfamiliar territory at SummerSlam
It’s no secret that Cody Rhodes currently has his back against the wall, with The Bloodline hungry for his blood. In a deja vu from last week’s SmackDown, Rhodes and his partner Kevin Owens were beaten black and blue this past Friday night.

The former AEW EVP has failed to get under Solo Sikoa‘s skin, against whom he’ll defend his title at SummerSlam. At this point, it’s hard to believe that Rhodes will have it easy against the self-proclaimed Tribal Chief.
Also, with Hikuleo signing with WWE, he might debut at the PLE only to worsen the equation for Cody. Another thing to keep an eye on is the long-awaited return of Roman Reigns. There’s a lot to look forward to in this ongoing saga.
