WrestleMania XL is considered one of the greatest WrestleMania events by many wrestling fans. A big part of that credit goes to The Rock, who returned as a major heel. ‘The Final Boss’ joined The Bloodline and did everything he could to make Cody Rhodes’ life difficult. He also competed in a high-stakes tag team match at the event, teaming with his cousin Roman Reigns against Rhodes and Seth Rollins.

Even though The Rock has made only a few appearances this year, ‘The American Nightmare’ still believes he has more wrestling left in him. Speaking on the Pardon My Take podcast, Cody Rhodes said that ‘Rocky’ truly loves the wrestling business and praised how deeply he gets involved. He added that no matter how much money he makes from movies, when he’s in the ring, one could still see the wrestler in him.

Rhodes also said that The Rock still has two matches left in him. First, he mentioned wanting to see a match between him and Roman Reigns, though he admitted it might be tough to make happen due to timing. He even called it “the greatest match we never get.” Rhodes added that he and ‘The Brahma Bull’ also need to finish their own story.

I think he has two matches he has to do. I’m not putting any pressure on anyone, but I think he does — I’d love to see him and his cousin, Roman Reigns, ever have this encounter. Maybe it’s the greatest match we never get because timing or whatever it may be and I think we need to finish our own story with him and myself.

Although ‘The People’s Champion’ isn’t expected to wrestle at this year’s WrestleMania in Las Vegas, he remains heavily involved in the storyline between Rhodes and John Cena. ‘The Doctor of Thuganomics’ shocked everyone by turning heel and brutally attacking Rhodes at Elimination Chamber. If ‘The Final Boss’ shows up at WrestleMania 42, he could shock the WWE Universe and completely alter the outcome of the match.

Cody Rhodes shares the ‘magical’ moment between him and The Undertaker during his match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania

Defeating Reigns at WrestleMania was the biggest win of ‘The American Nightmare’s’ career. During the match, legends like Cena and The Undertaker stepped in to help Rhodes fight off The OTC’s Bloodline members. Afterward, Rhodes described a powerful moment he shared with The Phenom, calling it nothing short of magical.

In the same podcast, Rhodes recalled the exact moment The Undertaker appeared in the ring and chokeslammed The Rock. The WWE World Champion said that while he was down, ‘The Deadman’ dropped ‘The Final Boss’, looked at him, and gave him a wink. Rhodes added that as soon as Taker winked, the lights went out in classic Undertaker style. He called it a truly magical moment.

When he chokeslams The Rock, I got to make eye contact with him ever so briefly and I think he maybe wanted to have a moment, maybe not, I could be overestimating my importance to the Undertaker, but he winked at me. He winked at me, and then the lights went out. It was like legitimate magic had happened.

While discussing the match, Reigns turned his attention away from Rhodes and viciously attacked his former friend Rollins with a steel chair. The American Nightmare took advantage of it and finally finished the story by winning against him and becoming the new WWE World Champion. Since then, he has been a fighting champion, defending his title against the likes of AJ Styles and Kevin Owens.

Cody Rhodes reveals the activities he does in his free time

WWE Superstars often have packed schedules filled with travel, training, and performances, leaving them with very little free time. However, some stars, like Rhodes, still manage to find moments to enjoy life outside the ring. The American Nightmare recently shared a few of his favorite activities when he’s not performing for the WWE Universe.

While speaking in the same interview, Rhodes shared how much he loves spending time with his 4-year-old daughter, Liberty. He revealed that he and his wife never originally planned to have children. However, after she was born, they were overjoyed and decided to cherish every moment with her as a family.

Well…my daughter, she’s 4, that’s a journey. That’s the greatest thing ever. Just hearing about what’s going on in her life. Other than hanging out with Liberty, I would say… I got to top golf a lot, yeah, and I am a slugger at top golf. I feel like a real golfer.

Rhodes also shared that aside from spending time with his daughter, he enjoys playing Topgolf in his free time. Although he admitted he’s not a real golfer, he likes dressing up and having fun with the game. He even described himself as a “slugger” at Topgolf. The WWE World Champion also mentioned that while he craves pizza on his cheat days, he often ends up skipping it.
