The WWE European Tour made its latest stop in Glasgow, Scotland, for Monday Night Raw. Like most episodes of the red brand before it, the show was stacked with top stars like Cody Rhodes, John Cena, and CM Punk. Alongside some incredible TV segments, the show also featured a star-studded dark match.

Following the latest episode of Raw, Cody Rhodes teamed up with Punk and Rey Mysterio for a dark match. The babyface trio took on The Judgment Day, namely Finn Balor, Carlito, and Dominik Mysterio. The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, were also present at ringside to cheer on their stablemates.

Toward the end of the match, CM Punk lifted ‘Dirty’ Dom for a GTS. However, the Latino superstar was able to escape and tagged in Carlito, who came rushing into the ring. Unfortunately, it did not end too well for The Judgment Day member. The Straight Edge Superstar tripped him up and sent him into the ropes.

Mysterio saw this opportunity and ran into the ring to deliver a 619 onto Carlito. This was followed by a GTS from Punk and a Cross Rhodes from The American Nightmare. Being a dark match, the babyfaces were able to secure the victory with a pinfall on the former Intercontinental Champion.

Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and Rey Mysterio cut a heartfelt promo in front of the Glasgow crowd

Cody Rhodes is famous for his interactions with fans after WWE shows go off the air. Following the match, the 39-year-old got on the microphone and hyped up the Glasgow crowd. He then referred to his segment with John Cena earlier in the night, claiming that this was the most disgraceful form of the 16x World Champion. However, if one was looking for a legend who was doing it right and giving it all to his fans, one need not look further than Rey Mysterio.

Punk even got down on his knees and bowed to Rey Mysterio as the crowd chanted his name. The Luchador then got on the microphone and expressed his love for his fans. It was then the Voice of the Voiceless’ turn to get on the mic and say that the fans gave them the energy to keep going despite being jet-lagged and exhausted. He also showered praise on the Master of the 619.

The three then embraced in the ring and thanked the Glasgow crowd for being there. Fans have especially been loving the duo of Punk and Rhodes. These two superstars were recently seen sharing an emotional moment at a European live event.

Vince Russo blasts WWE for Cody Rhodes’ current title reign

It has been over 350 days since Cody Rhodes pinned Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL to become WWE Undisputed Champion. He has faced several contenders since on PLEs, weekly TV, and house shows. However, it appears that Vince Russo is not content with this reign.

Speaking on The Brand, Russo said that Rhodes has had a full year of subpar title defenses ever since WrestleMania. He blamed the WWE creative team for not having anything in store for the American Nightmare since he won the title. He believed that people in the creative team needed to be fired for doing so.

A year ago, you planned we are gonna give Cody a sh*tty year of title defenses? Because that’s what it’s been. So, if what you’re saying is true, then people really need to be fired.

Russo said that WWE either put together his title reign as the shows went on, or they had planned a year of Rhodes’ title reign in advance as soon as he won the WWE Undisputed Championship. He believed that if this entire year was planned prior, then none of the people in the creative team deserved to work in the professional wrestling business.
