Jake Paul and Conor McGregor’s rivalry yet again made the headlines. McGregor recently criticized Paul’s upcoming fight against boxing legend Mike Tyson, scheduled for later this year in November. The fight between the 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer and 58-year-old Tyson has already drawn criticism from several figures in the combat sports world. But McGregor’s harsh remarks sparked a particularly intense back-and-forth between the two. Here is what happened:
During a recent live stream, Conor McGregor dismissed the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson bout. The UFC star stated that “nobody gives a bollocks or a f*ck” about it. Jake Paul, known for his quick wit and love for social media spats, fired back immediately. He posted a video mocking McGregor, imitating the Irishman’s appearance and erratic behavior during the livestream. Paul’s post was enacted to suggest that McGregor was under the influence.
The Irish fighter was once at the top of both sports. Now, he is struggling to secure a comeback fight, even though he has hinted at returning to the octagon in 2025. Paul has been involved in high-profile exhibition boxing matches against retired UFC fighters and celebrities.

This exchange is not new in the landscape of their rivalry. McGregor previously dismissed Paul as a “YouTube fighter,” while Paul, on multiple occasions, challenged McGregor to a fight. He has offered significant sums of money to tempt the former UFC champion.
Conor McGregor questions the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul matchup
Conor McGregor’s remarks on the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight were as bold and provocative as ever. While smoking Tyson’s own marijuana during a Kick live stream, McGregor expressed his frustration with the fight. He criticized the format, pointing out that the fighters would be using 14-ounce gloves and competing in short, two-minute rounds.
He questioned how it could even be hosted in a major venue like AT&T Stadium in Dallas. ‘The Notorious’ questioned why Paul would even take on a fight with someone significantly older. McGregor’s criticisms also came amid broader public concerns about the safety and legitimacy of this spectacle fight.

Especially because it involves an aging Mike Tyson. Despite downplaying the significance of the fight, McGregor showed clear support for Tyson, calling Jake Paul a “little dope” and hoping that Tyson would “rattle” him.
