Copa America 2021: Brazil vs Peru Player Ratings as The Selecao register massive 4-0 win
Brazil were as dominant as ever in their second game in the Copa America 2021 group stage against Peru. Alex Sandro was the first to strike for the home side in the first half. The second was just about perfect for Brazil as they scored 3 goals with Neymar, Everton Ribeiro and Richarlison underlined their name on the scoresheet. This was Neymar’s second goal in the competition and he looks in scintillating form which is a thing Brazil would like to build on.
Peru was poor in both halves with not much to offer. Gareca’s side did well to restrict Brazil to just 1 goal in the first half but the full 90 mins were too much for them to see off. Brazil, with this win, looks certain to qualify and there’s not much threat of losing even a single match as Colombia are the only team that could possibly cause an upset. Brazil’s real test is to start from the knockout stages while Peru need a serious upgrade in both form and quality if they are to repeat the last edition’s success.
