All-Pro outside linebacker Micah Parsons came out criticizing the Chicago Bears for their handling of the current Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields. He launched a shade at the Bears whom Parsons felt shipped Fields off.

Justin Fields has been making waves in his new position with the Steelers. The injury to Russell Wilson, their starting quarterback, prompted head coach Mike Tomlin to start Fields. Through four games, Fields has led the team to three wins as they stand atop the AFC North.

Parsons also took a dig at the Bears organization for their treatment of Justin Fields. He ripped into the Bears, alleging that they stripped Fields of his confidence, by deeming him not valuable enough.

I think Justin [has] won the team over. Justin is really, really good. … I’m glad that the Steelers and Mike Tomlin [have] been able to get his confidence back, because the Bears probably stripped him of it. They kinda said, ‘We don’t need you anymore. You’re less valuable.’ They kinda just shipped him off. I thought the Bears should’ve kept him. And I thought Justin was a legit talent, and now he’s somewhere else flourishing.

It remains to be seen whether the Chicago Bears made the wrong move. Caleb Williams hasn’t yet proven himself as a standout, but that doesn’t mean he was the wrong choice. Similarly, Fields’ stats with the Steelers are solid but not extraordinary. It’s too early to make any definitive conclusions. The question of whether Caleb Williams was the right draft pick still looms for the Bears.

Justin Fields and Pittsburgh meet the Cowboys on SNF to establish themselves

The Pittsburgh Steelers play their conference rivals Dallas Cowboys on SNF. They will look to bounce back from the loss handed by the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4. The loss has fans questioning Justin Fields despite showing a decent performance as a vintage Joe Flacco sprinkled his magic on the field.

The NFL’s best defense got a once-over. Similarly, despite the 138 rushing attempts tied for first in the league, the Steelers are averaging just 3.7 yards per carry, ranking 26th in the 32-team league.

Despite his impressive skills, Fields has committed two turnovers in the past two games. Furthermore, the team has persisting snapping problems. Nevertheless, Fields and the Steelers can defeat the Cowboys if he maintains the consistent play he displayed in the first two weeks. Even the Giants, with Daniel Jones at quarterback, averaged over six yards per play in their recent loss to the Cowboys.

The Cowboys will be without Micah Parsons as he misses the first game of his career. Parsons’ Cowboys have been met with a mixed bag walking into this season. Both Cowboy victories have come in road games, and they will attempt to emulate that against a strong Steelers.

Their victories came against the Cleveland Browns and the New York Giants, both of whom had disappointing starts. The Cowboys will aim to prove they are still a powerhouse by defeating the Steelers.
